Leftovers or Special Breakfast?

It was always a special treat when mom made us french toast when we were little. It does take a little time and it can be a bit messy but this is a meal that can be ready pretty fast and can add a lot of pizzaz. Dress it up as a dessert with a sprinkling of powdered sugar, whipped cream, and some drained canned fruit. Or make it a really special breakfast and top with some sliced seasonal fruit and serve with some sausage and eggs.
